About Us

AspirEDU was founded by educators who are creating solutions to the problems of educators. We saw that the EdTech market did not include data-driven retention software that could automatically identify at-risk students before it was too late to save them. AspirEDU takes pride in building software bridges between new-age LMS’s and retention teams.

Kimberley Munzo, CEO

The creator of Dropout Detective, Instructor Insight, and Retention Radar. Kim founded AspirEDU because she needed a better, more automated way to identify at-risk students. Since Kim could not find such a solution on the market – she built it. As a career educator and Director of Online Learning, Kim sees the benefits of using data to help schools find struggling students before it is too late to save them.

Don VanDemark, CTO

With both enterprise and start-up experience, Don is able to relate to both worlds and bridge the gaps. Being a part of AspirEDU since the beginning has allowed Don to lead our technical team in developing features our users need while trying to stay ahead of an ever-changing technical and educational world.

Christopher Munzo, EVP

Chris handles sales, contracts, and partnerships for AspirEDU. He graduated with a BA in Economics from Brown University and started his career in banking. That led to sales of banking software and eventually to the EdTech space. Chris focuses on working with university presidents, directors of online learning, high school principals, and technology experts to identify the schools’ needs and match them with the benefits of AspirEDU solutions.

AspirEDU’s Mission is to helps schools help more students graduate. We analyze the data that schools already have. This allows our solutions to identify students that are most at risk of dropping out of or failing courses, and to identify the best practices that instructors use to maximize the performance of their students. Retaining more students is good for schools and even better for the students themselves.
